Velvet tartan and woven basket

Last weekend my entire family went on a road trip to Malacca, Malaysia. The drive there took several hours so of course we had a stopover. Our stopover was Machap and it was there that I saw this woven basket. The store had many art crafts; all of which are handmade, woven and wooden. These baskets themselves came in various shapes, patterns and colours. Well I did not have any Malaysian ringgit with me but it was too pretty for me to pass it off. Thankfully my dad was kind enough to purchase them for me. And thank my mum too for she haggle the price down. Now I wish I had gotten the round shaped one as well. Oh well. My dad goes there pretty often because my huge extended family owns and runs a sheep farm there. Maybe I should ask him to get me the other shape one as well.

I trimmed my fringe today. Finally.

Granny's floral top

Nowadays I can’t get enough of wearing skirts. This denim high-waist has been worn to death for the last couple of days. If it had a mouth and could talk, it probably would tell me that it needs a break (from my ass and whatnot). I think it’s high time that I send all my skirts for alteration. It bugs me that they do not fit well and for that, I can’t wear them out. Anyway, I suddenly feel arty these days. I plan on going Spotlight soon to purchase some arts stuffs. And no, don’t get your hopes up high. It has been long since I played with fabric paints, beads and buttons.

I found this dress but have yet to decide whether to purchase it or not. The smallest size they have looks rather huge on me, especially the sleeves. Therefore I am still contemplating.

Sheer skirt and strings of pearls

Pearl necklace seems to have been out of sight for quite sometime now. I remembered the time when almost every girl had them on their neck, wrist and even fingers. I like pearls a whole lot but I have never gotten around buying one for myself. All of the pearls I wear belongs to my mum. And let’s just skip the part where she nags at me for wearing them before she did. Anyway, I paired the pearls with a sheer tiered skirt. Hopefully I did not expose my undergarments when I wore them out today. When night came, I had to put on the long, horizontal-striped cardigan. Long cardigans. Another fetish of mine now.

Patterned tights

Today I learnt that long and untrimmed nails do not work well with tights. While I was dressing up for school, to be precise, pulling up my hosiery, I heard a “rip” sound. Had I woke up on time, I would not need to frantically rush through my dressing. Anyway, I did not bother to change as the rip was high up my thigh area; therefore it was unlikely that anyone would notice it. Also, I like how the squares from the dress clashes with the squares on the tights.

Items revealed

*
AsianCajuns have tagged me to reveal six items in my bag. Since today is a weekday, I do not have many items and most of them are school related. And I know for sure that I will probably win the award for “most uninteresting items carried in a bag”. Man do I greatly miss the time where I had the leisure to read all the crime fiction novels I want.

First picture:
My trusted Samsung X500 handphone.
I don't really like handphones that much. They usually ring at times when you want to be left alone.
Sony Slim & Lite PSP in Ice Silver.
This I love very much. I used to play Harvest Moon on PS2 but never got around completing it. So now I'm using the long journey to do so.

iomega thumbdrive.
I think every student has one.
Sony DSC-W70 Cyber-shot.
Obviously the camera isn't inside the picture as I used it to take this picture. It sounds confusing but I'm sure you get what I mean. Anyway, I bring this camera to everywhere I go.

Second picture:
Pencil case.
Another student's essential.
A4 wiritng paper.
My beloved Flintstones notebook.
"When you're with the Flintstones, have a yabba dabba doo time, a dabba doo time, we'll have a gay old time". Wait. Gay?

Third picture:
Leopard purse.
It holds my cards and money.
Facial oil blotters.
Oily skins like mine swear by this.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip Balm.
I do so love the creamy texture that I get after applying it.
Brush and acessories.

So when do I get to say, "I told you so".
I won the award for the "most uninteresting items carried in a bag", didn't I?

p/s: Thanks for your well wishes :D

Jeans and t-shirt

There will always be days where I just feel extremely exhausted and worn-out. On days like these, even the things I enjoy doing feel like a chore. Therefore it’s no wonder why jeans and t-shirts have since been a staple of mine these days.

My camera's battery died so the handphone's camera will do.

And oh. It took a lot for me to smile like that.

Paint splatter

I have had this skirt for a good four years now. Back then I would wear it out often, too many times I think. Two years ago I decided to keep it nicely folded in my cupboard and last week, whilst cleaning through the closet, I found it tucked in one corner. It was never worn for two years for I wanted to maintain its condition. I believe that everyone has their own sets of clothing which they love and wear frequently. I like this skirt a lot and I hope that I could still wear them in years to come. Last week I wore them out repeatedly and now, it is going back to my cupboard. Let’s see when I would take them out again.

All sequined and shiny

*
This post marks my 100th entry for this blog. A hundred sounds a lot but when I looked back on my blog archives, it actually isn’t. Again I have to say, thank you all for the comments and support. Whenever I have the time, I will post an entry here. Meanwhile, here are two pictures of my recent purchases. The bag has black and maroon leopard dots on gold scales. The camera made it looked silver though. And them t-shirts, let’s just say I cannot wait to wear them out.

Men's shirt and denim leggings

Sometimes when the mood comes, I would ransack my brothers’ wardrobes. I do not have any sisters so men’s clothing will do for me. Today I did just that and I found many nice shirts. Funny as I have never seen my brothers wear them out before. Just as I thought, they were new. My brother was out so I tried on a few and finally settled on one. Now I really need to wash the shirt and place it back nicely. I hope he doesn’t notice. Say. How would you feel if you bought a new dress and your sister wears them before you did? I know. You would be furious. But I guess if my brother did find out, he wouldn’t be that mad. Men are known to not be as dramatic as women right? Let’s just hope so.
*

I have yet to see the girls here wear denim leggings. I got them on impulse and now I am loving them. And that big bag? I only bring them out when I have to carry the laptop.

Oh brother

My mum knows about my blog and so does my brother now. Brothers being brothers, he browsed through my blog and laughed so hard I felt like giving him a Karate kick. Well Taekwando kick that is. I took up Taekwando when I was younger, not Karate. So he laughed, shaked his head and said, “I have got nothing to say.” With that said and a smirk, he watched his poor sister run back and forth, trying to set the timer and pose right. Talk about taking the initiative to help me out huh. Finally he volunteered and I was too happy to refuse the offer. So I posed and oh the horror. Did he get the picture right? The heck he didn’t. He zoom the camera lens right to my eyes and nose. And he got a great laugh. Thanks brother.

Day time.

It got cold later in the evening so I put on the scarf and socks.
And yes, he eventually helped me out with the second picture.
