Dark coloured

My mum is my biggest critique. Lately, she has been commenting on my excessive use of the colour, black. I think I have mentioned before that my mood largely affect the way I dress. And well, these days are just not my days as I am always either banging my head on the wall or pulling strands after strands off my hair. Well, not literally of course. What’s getting to me also is the unpredictable weather. Oh. Back to my mum. Well mum, I promise I will wear more chirpy clothing, especially for your coming birthday. I would not want to look dull for such a happy occasion, wouldn’t I? You have my words on this mum : )

Vest:
Flea Market (yup. I didn't button all six)
Top: Old Navy
Bottom: City Square (worn two days in a row)
Bag: Hand-me-downs/ Vintage (My mum's)
Shoes: City Square
Belt: Flea Market

p/s: I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this. It's a deadringer of the gladiator sandals that I am wearing (and of the black one that I frequently wear). But well, I am not sure though if it is genuinely a product of Marc Jacobs.

Shades of blue

I found this blue shirt in my brother’s wardrobe and it reminds me a lot of the one that Marc Jacobs usually wear. So I ironed it as crisp as I can, and paired it with my three quarter pants, instead of the intended black leggings. And if you are regular here, you would know how I pretty much pair everything with pearls. Till the next time, I hope you guys have a lovely weekend : )

Pardon the handphone's camera quality.

Latex, love and life

Today we had a simple dinner and went for a movie. We finally went to watch the leap years and I must say that for a local movie, the show was pretty nice. Though today was just a simple day, I enjoyed every moment of it. I remembered laughing a great deal and that is almost a never nowadays. Somehow today, I felt totally at ease with everything. That girl, who was once full of life, was present again.

Baggy

Yesterday was a memorable Good Friday. First, I gave up going to my friend’s birthday bash to spend time with my mum and younger brother. Then, I found out that my guy’s sister-in-law is pregnant. She text me to say that I will be a godma and likewise, my guy will be an uncle. Well, he’s been an uncle for years now but I guess it’s always fun for him to hear that he’s going to have more nieces and nephews. And yesterday when I came back home from shopping with my mum and younger brother, I saw a box of heart-shaped Godiva chocolate on my dressing table. Along with it was a note saying, “To my LiL SiS, Thanks for your Help!” I was more surprised than anything. Never in a million years had I thought my elder brother would show that kind of affection. Happy as I was, I went around the house, screaming, "See mummy, he gave me heart-shaped chocolates!"

Popeyes

I did not trip. If that is what you want to know. In truth, I actually predict a lot of wear from this shoe. The material, which I presume is synthetic leather, is pretty comfortable. That and the fact that them shoe makes me look so much taller. Anyway, I finally wore out this lacey top. My guy was donned in shirt, smart pants and loafers today. So I tried to complement his outfit and hence wore the outfit below. Well, I would like to think that the lacey blouse and messenger bag makes my outfit rather formal.

Strappy shoes

I will get down to replying all your comments soon and I will make sure that I do post an outfit shot too. In the meantime, my guy surprised me with yet another shoe. This shoe is probably the highest pair of heels I have ever owned. Remind me to report you back on how I walked in them. Most probably I would waddle like a duck. Or stumble and fall flat on my ass. I shall tell you all about that, the next time I post.

Black and gold

Fret not. I have not abandoned this place and I pretty much have no intention of doing so. To sum up the last few days, I lazed around the house watching “Are you smarter than a fifth grader”, “Now and Then” and DVDs after DVDs. Friends are my constant reruns though. So lazing around the house means no outfits to post. But today, I finally had a proper outfit to share with you. And well. It’s monochrome. Again.

This shoes that remind me so much of my
maroon Oxford heels. Yeah. That maroon Oxford heels that hurts my feet like heck each time I wear them.

Bubble skirt

My outfit today was pretty much monochrome. That was because I did not want to offend my guy by wearing bold colours. For the past two days, he's really just quiet and practically not in a fine mood (for a reason which I chose not to elaborate). I had to carefully choose my outfit and after much consideration, I decided on the one below. I didn’t want to overdo the outfit and thus, I kept everything simple.

Busy as a bee

The title says it all. These few days have been really hectic and it will be like this for the coming weeks also. I long for the days where I could just sit back, relax, sip a huge cup of tea and spend the whole day browsing through other fashion blogs. Someday I will. Anyway, I woke up only to realise that I was an hour late for class. So I picked out this tunic, as it didn't need ironing, and wore it as a dress. Sometimes being vertically challenged pays off.
