Studs and buckles

Them booties got another trip outside today. Well to sum it up, I would say different day, same responses. Anyway, I finally got myself a straw hat. I was hoping for a straw fedora but the ones on sale here just didn’t have the right design. On another note, I am impatiently counting the days to my holidays. I will be going to two places. Well, they aren’t far from here but at least I will be out of this country : )

Forty-forth months

So I get similar stares and giggles as when I wore the latex leggings out. The stares are mainly from the adults and the giggles, from the teenagers. It’s either they were bewildered or totally appalled at the sight of them bootie. Oh well. I guess I am thick-skinned indeed. Anyway, considering that the climate in this country is hot all year round, the peep toe and the hole at the back is a plus. It helps by providing some ventilation to my feet. And oh, the next time I wear it out, I should bear in mind never to tighten the lace too tight. Nonetheless, I see many wears from this bootie.

And the red light just had to be at the wrong spot.

My tiny feet got a new home

So my guy surprised me with yet another shoe or heels or boots (whatever you call it). Before this surprise, I remembered being hugely disappointed as the knee-high gladiator that I wanted did not come in my size. I gave the website link to my guy and he too browsed and confirmed that it did not come in small sizes. Then he passed me this link and commented, “Check out this oxford bootie”. Then today, he said with a cunning smile, “I got you something”. Why thank you hoNey! Even though this was featured in last year's Vogue magazine, I couldn't be bothered at all about it's "last season". And thank you also for the black satin cape and black trapeze dress : )

p/s: Taking the boots off is pretty easy but putting them on will take some time (what with the lace and all). It's actually comfy and reminds me of my green gladiator sandals. And oh, the picture over at the website displays the exact colour and all. My camera flash spoilt everything. On another note, links have been updated.

Tagged

Since I do not have outfit shots, I will leave you with a big ass picture of myself and six things about me.

The lovely Soph and Jezmine tagged me. So here it goes: six eccentric details about me.

One:
I am a constant for uniformity. I have specific routines for doing this and that. Though I do love surprises, I love predictability more.

Two:
If I had a good day today, I will tend to wear again the exact same clothing that I wore today for other days. Like if I wore a particular dress, and I had an exceptionally happy day, I will wear the same dress for other days, hoping that I will have as great a day as the previous one. Well, it acts like a lucky charm.

Three:
Sometimes when I wake up, I wish I was a few centimeters taller. Then, I got a bitch slap from reality and I am grateful again for everything that God have given me.

Four:
When I love a certain something, I will wear it to death, until the day it finally dies on me. Take for example my handphone, which have major scratches and have gone through repairs, but I still refuse to change them. Oh. It’s not even a camera phone.

Five:
I prefer drinking traditional remedies to swallowing pills. I hate visiting the doctors and how they always prescribe me with pills. I can tear when asked to swallow pills. When I was younger, I pretended to swallow them but when my mum walked away, I will run straight to the toilet and flush them down.

Six:
I find crying therapeutic. I would like to think that even those with a heart of stone cry eventually. Heard of the cliché phrase, “I cry myself to sleep”? Well I practically do that.
My crying is always followed by a nap. Because when I wake up, I usually feel much, much better.

And now I tag my three beautiful cousins:

Kogie
Kona
Koeein

You’re at it Ko-family!

That ugly shorts

While walking home, I saw my brother at the parking lot, perched on his motorbike. When he saw me, he gave me a comical wave and a wide grin. Afterwards, when I was in the elevator, he called and guess what he told me. In his exact words, he said, “Eeee… your shorts are so damn ugly!” Why thanks bro. Should your definition of ugly refers to how this shorts make my ass looks huge, then I’ll take it. So you reckon I steal and wear your bottoms now too? Lest you read this blog, you would know that I have on your shirts, quite often I might add. That aside, I had a great time today. We watched the hilarious Run Fat Boy Run which was directed by David Schwimmer (aka Ross Gellar from the sitcom Friends). I think the movie was great. Well my opinion might be biased because I love Simon Peggs and David Schwimmer. Oh and my guy is weird nowadays. Recently, he always text me saying, “Let’s go shopping”. And today, he asked me, “Do you want to go shopping?” Seriously hoNey, after nearly four years together, don’t you know me well enough? : )

Tucked in or out

Honest to god, if I don’t get out of this country in the next month, I will perform one of those outrageous Jackass stunts you see on MTV. I am in need of a holiday, pronto. I want to be out of this country for a few days, or a few weeks. I want to be able to sip tea because I enjoy it, not for the reason that I need it to keep me awake. I long for the laughter and joy, which have been in short supplies of late. Alright, I will end my jabbering for now. While I was dressing, I could not decide whether to tuck in or tuck out the t-shirt. Finally I decided to tuck out for a change but fickle as I am, I tucked it in with a belt.

Love's divine

Postings have been scarce of late. Of that I am aware. Currently, I am on a tight schedule and my life is a whirlwind. But I will be fine, that I assure you. Once I get things settled, regular postings will resume. And say. What is life without a little setback right?
