When the rhythm of nature still lingers

*
Though we are physically back home, our mind and hearts are still on holidays. Thus, I suggested that we spend the Saturday at that island called Sentosa. The suggestion alone came as a shock to my guy as he knew that I did not like "overhyped" places. Anyway, seeing that we were going to the beach, I wore out this delicate piece of lacey white dress. After much contemplation, I decided to pair the dress with my new gladiator sandals, which I got from my trip to Kuala Lumpur. In actual, I did not want to put the belt on. But seeing that the wind was really keen on exposing my undergarments, I had to be secured. And oh. The next time I crave for some beach life, I would in a heartbeat, take the fifty-five minutes ferry ride to Bintan. Sorry Sentosa, you have definitely seen the last of me.

Beach haven

I have been home since the 20th of this month. And yes, I had a blast of a time there. Somehow I wish I never had to come back home. The sounds of the sea, the breath of fresh air and the creaking of the wooden floorboard was loved. Anyway, it is no secret that postings on this blog have come to a standstill. I guess I let myself go a tad too much until I have been under the weather ever since I got home. To make up for it, here are some snapshots of Bintan, Indonesia. God do I love the serenity of the beach and the rustic cottages that we stayed in.

Away on holiday

*
Everything is in order. And nah, our initial destination of Bangkok, Thailand had to be cancelled. Instead, we will be enjoying some beach life over at Bintan, Indonesia. Afterwhich, we will head over to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a mega shopping trip. See you all in a week's time!

Of elephant and giraffe prints

A mad dash to here, there and everywhere. Well that probably sums up today's crazy adrenaline rush. Being the procrastinator that we are, we only began to shop for toiletries and what not today. My goodness, I see a lot of ironing and folding of clothes tomorrow. On top of that, I can already see myself sitting on the luggage bag, frustrated that it won't close. Alright let's get back to today's events. This blue blouse which I got from a Flea Market has only been worn once. So today I wore it out again and instead of wearing it as it is, I wore is as a tube dress. I did this by tucking the puffy sleeves in. I was rather pleased that the tucking-in resulted in a nice fluffy bow. The brooches you ask? Well I had to pin them on as I needed to cover an old eyeliner stain that doesn't seem to want to part from my tee. Alrighty. I will update you all tomorrow about my packing. And oh, I probably would not be posting anymore outfits until next week. Until then : )

The colours of Barney

So this wasn't the coloured straw hat that I mentioned a few posts earlier. That one would be worn next week during my holidays. This I just got yesterday and seeing that the weather was exceptionally fine today, I took it out for a stroll. Anyway, I've always had this thing whereby I would spent a whole amount of time searching for a particular something but never could find it. Aeons ago, I went on a white dress hunt and just as I was about to lose hope, lo and behold, there it was hanging discreetly on the racks. While I do own a thrifted white dress, it's not as enchanting as the one that I just bought three days ago. I'm guessing I would wear it pretty soon. Oh the thrill of finally owning it is exciting. And say, my black and white got a break.

Taking it outdoors

With my trademark staircase shots, you might think that there's a lack of flora and fauna in this country. Well despite the urbanisation, there are still greeneries around. Of that I am referring to the trees that I see everywhere, regardless of where my head turns. Anyway, today I finally got to take pictures in broad daylight. Other than the staring eyes of the passer-bys, I liked everything else. You reckon more sunshine pictures? Well that of course is subjected to my guy's availability. Alright that came out wrong. I just made it sound as if my guy is a thing. Like your travel agent telling you, "yes we can give you a connecting room. But it's subjected to availability". Oh. What a bull of crap.

For better or worse

I'm currently doing some changes to the blog. Hence if you see anything out of place, don't freak. It's probably just me messing around with the html. While we're are at that, let me tell you that I ain't good with these codes. Wait. Is that even what they are called?

Bloated and stuffed

So everything was last minute, from the outfit to the birthday present. Nonetheless, everything turned out well. We secretly entered the house and there was the birthday girl, asleep on her bed. She sure was mad at her boyfriend for planning this surprise as initially, he told her that he had to work. In her exact words, "How could you. I was asleep you know". Apart from the gladiator sandals, her boyfriend also got her a kitten. So there I was jumping around her house, yelling loudly each time the kitten came too close. Well the funny thing is, her boyfriend was also not fond of furry animals. So there we were, sitting cross-legged on the sofa. Oh. And my guy joked and said he's getting me a huskey for my birthday. Well I do adore huskey though. Anyway, right now I need to drink as much water as possible. That chocolate mousse cake sure was a throat killer.

There's an orb on my left knee.

Pastel shirt

Another day, another raid. This time I borrowed, or shall I say stole, my brother's pastel shirt. I had every intention of wearing the bootie again but seeing that I am only going to chill in the cafe today, I opted for the green gladiators instead. As a finishing touch, I added the totally random yellow beaded necklace and my mum's straw bag. Anyway, my friend is having her birthday party tomorrow. The best part? I haven't decided what to wear yet. Well I guess I will figure out something tomorrow. As for now, I need to sleep badly. My head hurts.

Red checkered skirt

My good old punk days ended many years ago. Of all the studs, chains and the ‘porcupine’ hair (well mine didn’t managed to reach the Mohawk stage), I missed wearing this red skirt the most. And since I didn’t feel like wearing a waist belt, I used a ribbon, and wrapped and tied it around my hips instead. Alright, so it seems like I’m repeatedly wearing the same clothing. I want to say that I need more clothes but I have plenty that haven’t been worn yet. On another note, why are visible panty lines (VPL) repeatedly named the number one fashion no’s? Honestly, I think that too low-waist pants that reveal butt-cracks should be named the first. If I were given a dollar for each time I saw a butt-crack, I would as hell be rich by now.
