Come and talk to me, what are you waiting for

While I have seven years of my life clearly mapped out in front of me, I cannot help but ponder. Questions after questions involving, "what if..." keep playing on my mind. "What if I had accepted the Aerospace electronics course instead?" "What if I was still an Early Childhood educator?" What if I had taken the offer to be a Special Needs officer?" What if. Life is, to put it mildly, unpredictable indeed. I always find myself waiting at a cross junction, feeling lost. For it is either this way or that way.

Chelsea burns under my feet

There is just soo little time, yet soo much to do. Adding to that is the dreadful chilly weather. That aside, my mum and I were watching this seventies drama and before we knew it, we were browsing through my dad's photo albums. There's plenty from where this came from but I shall stop here for now.

She dived beneath the water's icy skin

It has been long since I did an entry on "recent purchases". On the night of National Day, I managed to grab for myself, two new pair of shoes. Below is one of the two pair. As for the other, I have yet to have time to snap a picture of it. Truth be told, I do not actually need any more new shoes. But, you can never have too many shoes, can you?

When thousands of patriots unite

*
Year after year, nine of august would draw massive crowds from locals and foreigners alike. On each year, I find myself impeccably drawn to be a part of that massive crowd. Today was no exception. Watching the National Day Parade at the Padang with fellow citizens, and tourists, has become a "nine of august" routine. Before joining the red and white crowd, my guy and I paid an unplanned, yet surprisingly wonderful, trip to the Museum. And oh. I actually ditched my red patent belt and maroon oxfords in favour of monochromes. To those of you who wore red and white simultaneously today, hats off to you. So how did you spend your National Day?

And I'm not going anywhere

A reader commented that maybe all I need is a break.
*
True that. But seeing that entries are sparse these days, the idea of being absent for a while does not seem to trigger much difference anyway.
*
That aside. New entry coming up tomorrow.
To fellow Singaporeans,
HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!
*
See you all tomorrow, donned in red and white.
And nah, I do not have tickets to the parade, I will be watching from the big screen instead.
*
Happy fourty-third birthday Singapore!
